Right now, life feels like a fresh chapter. I recently got married (!), and we’re in the process of moving into our new-build home in Phoenix, Arizona. It’s a season of firsts — first mortgage together, first time picking out furniture together, and first walks around the neighborhood with our dog at our side (or let’s be honest… tugging ahead).
Why I Named this Blog “This Golden Saguaro Life” (Golden Retrievers + Desert Inspiration)
The name is a love letter to two things that mean a lot to me:
- The golden retrievers in my life, who remind me daily to greet the world with joy and curiosity.
- The saguaro cactus, an icon of the Sonoran Desert, which teaches patience, resilience, and blooming when the time is right.
Together, they capture the spirit of the life we’re building — one rooted in love, shaped by change, and always looking for the beauty in the everyday.
